About the role

Enterprise Business Development Manager - ANZ

OTE $200k + Super + Private Healthcare

Remote first opportunity

Help businesses put their payment spend to work!

A growing payments technology business is looking for a commercially sharp Business Development Manager to win new customers across Australia and New Zealand.

The platform lets businesses use an existing commercial card facility to make payments to suppliers, who receive the funds in their bank account. For the buyer, that can mean more flexibility over cash flow and a clearer view of payment activity.

There’s a strong proposition, reference customers and partner relationships to build on. Now the focus is growing the pipeline, winning new business and getting customers live!

The role

You’ll own the sales process from first conversation through to the customer’s first payment. You’ll build your own pipeline, qualify opportunities carefully and work directly with CFOs, treasurers, financial controllers and accounts payable teams.

This is consultative selling with a practical commercial case at its centre. You’ll use each prospect’s payment and spend profile to show whether the solution makes sense, what the costs and benefits could be, and how implementation would work.

You’ll be part of a growing regional team, working closely with the Head of Business Development and colleagues across sales, operations and treasury.

Location: Sydney or Melbourne, with remote flexibility

Reports to: Head of Business Development, ANZ

What you’ll do

  • Build pipeline: Find and engage prospective customers through focused outreach, partner referrals, industry networks and modern prospecting tools.
  • Qualify well: Understand a prospect’s payment volumes, card facilities, supplier mix, decision process and business priorities.
  • Make the case: Analyse payment data and model the potential working-capital impact, fees, rebates and overall economics. Present the assumptions clearly and credibly.
  • Close new business: Manage opportunities from discovery to signed agreement, coordinating commercial discussions, procurement, legal, security and internal approvals.
  • Get customers live: Work with internal teams to make the transition smooth, support the first payment run and check that the expected value is being delivered.
  • Keep the forecast reliable: Maintain clear CRM records, realistic close dates and an honest view of deal progress.

What you’ll bring

You’re a proven B2B seller who can create opportunities, work through complex buying processes and earn the confidence of senior finance leaders.

You’ll likely have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in B2B sales, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding target.
  • Experience selling payments, fintech, banking or finance-focused software to enterprise customers.
  • Confidence managing a full sales cycle, from prospecting through to contract and implementation.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, including the ability to build and explain a business case using customer data.
  • The discipline to plan a territory, manage a pipeline and produce a dependable forecast.
  • The ability to build trust with a CFO while staying practical and helpful with the teams who manage payments day to day.

Experience with commercial cards, treasury, working capital, supplier payments or supply-chain finance would be useful. An established finance network in ANZ is a plus.

Why consider it?

You’ll be joining a business with a tangible proposition and customers already using it. You won’t need to sell an abstract idea: you’ll help finance teams assess a specific way to make supplier payments more flexible and better understood.

The role offers ownership of your pipeline, exposure to senior decision-makers and the chance to grow alongside a payments business expanding its regional customer base. If you enjoy thoughtful, numbers-led selling and seeing customers reach first value, this is a chance to make a direct contribution.
