About the role

Listen. Be nice. Give a shit. If that sounds like you, read on.

$100,000 base + super Uncapped OTE

Remote-based,

We're Creative Natives. We find creative, marketing and digital talent for in-house teams and agencies, and we do it differently: by listening, being nice and giving a shit. That's why 279 clients have worked with us in the last two years, and why we stay small by choice. We also love working with businesses that do good, so we offer incentives to charities, social enterprises and B Corps.

The role

We're looking for an Account Manager to turn those relationships into something deeper. Plenty of our clients have hired through us in the last 7 years, and we want to be the partner they call first, every time, for every hire.

This isn't a role where you manage a list and report back. You'll have a seat at the table, a genuine hand in driving the business forward and, for the right person, the opportunity to own a part of it.

We want someone ambitious who's ready for their next step. Maybe you've been a strong account manager somewhere bigger and want more influence. Maybe you've outgrown your current role and want to build something. Either way, you want more than a job title.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning a big list of warm clients and turning occasional relationships into ongoing partnerships
  • Spending your time in client boardrooms: meetings, strategy sessions, account reviews and industry events
  • Getting under the skin of each client's business: their objectives, their pressures, and how their team needs to change to hit them
  • Spotting opportunities to do more, whether that's new roles, new teams or new parts of the business
  • Bringing in new clients, often through referrals from the relationships you build
  • Championing Creative Natives, so clients know the full range of what we can do for them
  • Working closely with our consultants so delivery matches what we promise.
  • What you'll bring

    • You give a shit. About clients, about candidates, about doing the job properly. This one isn't negotiable.
    • You take your work seriously, but not yourself. High standards, low ego.
    • You pick up the phone and make stuff happen. You don't wait for permission or hide behind email.
    • You're organised and self-driven. Nobody needs to chase you. You run your own diary and always follow through.
    • You have a genuine interest in the creative industry. We get to work on cool stuff. If that doesn't excite you, this role isn't for you.
    • Experience in account management, ideally in recruitment, agency, or creative services
    • Business acumen. You understand what drives a business and how hiring connects to its goals.
    • Presence in a boardroom. You're comfortable across the table from founders and marketing leaders, and happy to travel regularly.
    • Confidence selling Creative Natives, and the courage to give honest advice even when it's not what a client wants to hear.

    What's expected

This role comes with clear KPIs from day one, covering both activity and outcomes. We track the quantity and the quality of what you do: client meetings, calls and account reviews, plus the depth of the relationships and the opportunities they create.

There's no guessing what good looks like, and we have the tools in place to support you. What we need from you is the drive. This isn't a role for someone who hides behind excuses. If something isn't working, you own it, say so early, and figure out the fix.

    Your first 30 days

You'll go through a detailed onboarding, because we want you to know your stuff before you're in front of clients.

    • Learn the team, how we work, and our markets: the roles we fill, what good talent looks like, and where salaries and hiring are heading
    • Get your hands on a big list of warm clients from the 279 we've worked with, and agree your priority accounts and targets with the founder
    • Get into client boardrooms. By the end of the month, you'll have met key clients in person.
    • Set up your rhythm: diary, pipeline, activity tracking and weekly check-ins.

    What you'll get

    • $100,000 base + super, with an uncapped OTE based on new clients won and existing accounts grown
    • A seat at the table, with a clear path to a stake in the business
    • Remote-based working, split between home and client boardrooms. We work hard, but we want you to feel balanced.
    • A monthly wellness day in any month without a public holiday.
    • Christmas shutdown on us. It doesn't come out of your annual leave.
    • A learning and development fund to keep growing.
    • Cool work with great brands, agencies and businesses that do good.

    Sound like you?

Send your CV and a cover letter to [hello@creativenatives.com.au with the subject line: Hello is me you're looking for.

    • Why this role excites you
    • Who you are and what you are about.

To be eligible for this role, you must have at least five years of sales experience in Australia, be based in either Sydney or Melbourne, hold a current driver's licence, and be happy to spend plenty of time on the road.
