About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a specialist engineering team focused on improving deployment reliability across a large-scale cloud platform.
This team is building the future of deployment recovery by combining software engineering expertise with emerging AI agent technologies. You'll troubleshoot complex deployment failures, improve platform resilience, and create documented solutions that become training data for next-generation AI-powered automation systems.

What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnose and resolve CI/CD deployment failures across cloud-based services
- Investigate logs, metrics, health checks and deployment pipelines to identify root causes
- Develop fixes through pull requests and collaborate with engineering teams
- Improve deployment verification tests, health checks and monitoring systems
- Create structured documentation of failure patterns, resolutions and outcomes
- Contribute recurring failure patterns into automated AI recovery workflows
- Help develop engineering playbooks and operational best practices
- Work closely with platform engineering teams to improve deployment success rates
- Participate in technical reviews, knowledge sharing and project updates
Required Experience
Technical Skills
- 5+ years' commercial software engineering experience
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across complex systems
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling
- Experience with platforms such as Spinnaker, Argo CD, Harness, Jenkins or similar
- Solid Kubernetes and containerisation experience
- AWS infrastructure provisioning knowledge including Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience working with application logs, metrics and monitoring platforms
- Strong development capabilities in at least one of:
- Java/Kotlin
- Python
- Go
- TypeScript
- Experience using AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or similar
- Excellent written documentation skills
Nice to Have
- Container security and vulnerability remediation experience
- Experience within large-scale SaaS or platform engineering environments
- Exposure to AI agent frameworks, evaluation datasets or LLM-based automation systems
- Experience operating within mature engineering organisations using code review and approval processes
