Product Engineer (Principal / Staff) – Fully Remote (in Australia)

• $220,000 – $260,000 + Super

A fast-growing, product-led SaaS company is shaping a modern Product Engineer role to support the next phase of its growth. This is a senior, high-impact opportunity within a small, highly capable engineering team building software used by customers globally.

The role sits at the intersection of product thinking and engineering execution. You’ll help influence what gets built, how problems are solved, and how modern tooling - particularly AI-driven workflows and automation - can be used to maximise leverage and impact.

What you’ll be doing

• Work closely with product and leadership to solve meaningful customer problems
• Use AI tools, automation and modern engineering practices to increase delivery velocity
• Help shape technical standards, patterns and ways of working
• Thrive in ambiguity and contribute to shaping the role itself

What we’re looking for

• Senior / Principal / Staff-level engineering experience in product-led environments
• Strong product mindset with the ability to influence beyond pure implementation
• Background in startup, scale-up or high-quality product SaaS organisations
• Comfortable using modern AI tools as part of day-to-day engineering work
• Well suited to senior ICs, or former Heads of Engineering / CTOs wanting to be hands-on
