Role Description The Research Assistant role at SIFS INDIA FORENSIC LAB is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting forensic research and case-related studies. Day-to-day responsibilities may include conducting literature reviews, collecting and organizing data, assisting in the design and documentation of research protocols, and preparing summaries and reports of findings. The Research Assistant will collaborate with forensic experts to analyze case materials, help maintain research databases and records, and assist in the preparation of presentations or publications. The role also involves clear communication of research outcomes to internal stakeholders and adherence to ethical and confidentiality standards in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate evidence, interpret data, and draw logical, objective conclusions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to prepare clear reports, collaborate with team members, and convey research findings accurately.
- Candidates should possess solid Research skills for conducting literature reviews, designing basic studies, and documenting methodologies.
- Candidates should possess relevant Laboratory Skills, where applicable, to support forensic examinations and follow standard lab procedures safely.
- Candidates should possess Data Analysis skills to work with quantitative and qualitative datasets, use basic statistical tools, and ensure data integrity.
- Relevant academic background in forensic science, criminology, biology, chemistry, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Familiarity with digital tools for documentation and collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are beneficial.
- Prior experience or internships in forensic science, research labs, or related settings will be considered an advantage.
