The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Senior Administration Officer to provide an extensive range of high quality administrative and support services to the Infrastructure and Engineering & Assets Team to achieve its business objectives.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting the preparation of marketing and communication strategies that highlight key infrastructure initiatives and encourage positive community involvement
  • Preparing content for reports, presentations, and digital platforms to promote the outcomes and benefits of major projects delivered by the Directorate
  • Assisting with compliance relating to Shire Cemetery processes
  • Assisting with the continuous development of the Shire’s Fleet Management system
  • Management, coordination, preparation and quality of all incoming and outgoing communications and correspondence including management of the infrastructure mailboxes
  • Provision of administrative support to manage the Directorate’s compliance functions, including monitoring work flows, statutory and management reporting requirements
  • Processing of relevant invoices and expenses
  • Assisting with front line customer enquiries (counter and telephone) for the Directorate including the dissemination of relevant information
  • Assisting in the preparation of information to incorporate into annual reports, monthly Council Reports and other reports

Excellent administration, customer service, and communication skills, ability to work under limited direction and achieve high quality results and proven experience in the use of Microsoft Office products are all essential for this role.

Also required is a tertiary level qualification in business, (minimum Certificate IV) and/or equivalent relevant experience as well as a current unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence.

We are offering a remuneration package starting at $80,000 (dependent on skills and experience), plus allowances and Superannuation per annum for this role.
