Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Australia. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency while ensuring timely delivery of products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain from procurement to delivery.
  • Procurement Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and goods.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Oversee the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of products, ensuring smooth and cost-efficient logistics operations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and implement best practices for inventory control to minimize stockouts or overstocking.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline supply chain activities, reduce lead times, and lower costs.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze supply chain data to track performance, identify inefficiencies, and generate reports for management.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, production, finance, etc.) to ensure alignment between supply chain and business objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices in procurement, logistics, and distribution.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Requirements

  • Education: A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with demand forecasting, warehouse management systems, and transportation management.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve complex supply chain issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Focus on accuracy in managing inventory, procurement processes, and reporting.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and supply chain disruptions.

Desirable Skills (Optional)

  • Certifications: Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) are highly desirable.
  • Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean) to manage supply chain projects.
  • Global Supply Chain: Experience managing international supply chains or working with global suppliers.
  • Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainable supply chain practices and environmentally responsible sourcing.
