We’re now looking for our next superstar Bookkeeper to join us! This fully remote (Australia-based), part-time role (2–3 days per week) runs Monday to Friday on a permanent basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant financial operations across Australia, the UK and Ireland. You’ll oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, statutory returns, and general financial administration for the business and its subsidiaries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accurate records and timely payments.
- Preparing and issuing invoices in line with agreed terms.
- Preparing and submitting statutory returns (tax, quarterly filings, annual returns) across Australia, UK, and Ireland.
- Monitoring changes in tax and payroll legislation to maintain compliance.
- Maintaining and updating the chart of accounts across multiple entities.
- Following up on overdue debts and ensuring effective credit control.
- Leading automation initiatives within AP/AR to improve efficiency.
- Overseeing cash flow, reconciliations, supplier payments, intercompany transfers and other financial operations.
- Managing all accounting functions in Xero (mandatory), and supporting international transactions via Airwallex.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 2–3 years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and compliance requirements in Australia, UK, and Ireland.
- Proficiency in Xero (essential); experience with EH or similar systems an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator who can manage debtor follow-ups and build strong relationships.
- A proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve and streamline processes.
- Adaptable and collaborative, with a can-do attitude.
