About the company

We are Assembly Four (A4), a fast growing, purpose-driven technology company dedicated to fostering positive change within the sex work, human rights, LGBTQIA+, and intersecting communities. We operate on the belief that impact is as important as profit, and work in collaboration with sex workers from around the globe to develop products and services that support them to thrive, not just survive. Everyone should have the autonomy to make decisions about their bodies and sexual lives without fear of violence or discrimination. This is a fundamental human right – and one that sex workers are still fighting for. If you're eager to join a remote-first team with diverse representation from sex worker, neurodivergent, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ communities, committed to advancing sex worker autonomy and liberation through advocacy and innovative products, read on.

About the team

The People and Culture team (P&C) are the cultivators within A4, nurturing an environment that supports, advocates and helps build the place for team members to do their life’s most meaningful work. We bridge the gap between org wide goals and team members’ needs.

About the role

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you are responsible for driving A4’s hiring strategy and execution across the business. You own end to end recruitment processes, ensuring that every step from defining role criteria to onboarding is aligned with A4’s mission, values, and commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. You enable A4 to attract, evaluate, and hire the right individuals, into the right roles, at the right time to help A4 on it’s mission to support sex workers worldwide.

Hiring process ownership

  • You design, implement, and continuously improve hiring processes that are consistent, equitable, and well structured.
  • You collaborate with managers and leaders to define role requirements and the key attributes that drive success at A4.
  • You introduce, own and evolve tools and frameworks that create structure and efficiency in recruitment operations.
  • You own the ongoing management and optimisation of the ATS, tailoring workflows, templates, integrations, and features to improve hiring efficiency and candidate experience.
  • You leverage ATS data and reporting capabilities to extract insights that inform recruitment strategies, highlight bottlenecks, and report on key hiring metrics.

Enablement

  • You facilitate interviewer training, developing tools and resources that empower interviewers and hiring managers to assess candidates consistently, equitably, and effectively.
  • You guide the development and refresh of assessment methods that mitigate bias, promote equity, and ensure better decision making.

Candidate experience

  • You own the end to end candidate experience, cultivating engaging, timely, and respectful interactions at every touchpoint, resulting in high candidate satisfaction.
  • You review, recommend and implement improvements to the candidate journey, ensuring clear communication, transparency, and efficient progression through the recruitment stages.
  • You ensure every candidate interaction, from application acknowledgement, interviews, to final feedback, is inclusive, accessible, and accommodating of diverse needs, offering tailored support and adjustments to help all candidates perform at their best.

Employer branding and outreach

  • You collaborate with teams across A4 to craft compelling, inclusive, and accessible content that authentically reflects our mission, values, and culture with the goal of increasing visibility and attracting individuals that A4’s purpose resonates with.
  • You design and execute targeted recruitment campaigns to build and maintain candidate pipelines in key skill areas, taking an always-on approach to improving representation and inclusion across historically marginalised groups.
  • You develop outreach campaigns with a deep understanding of the sensitivities and societal dynamics connected to our mission to empower sex workers, bringing nuance, care and intention to your approach, thoughtfully engaging values-aligned candidates.

Internal mobility & Career pathways

  • You design and manage internal mobility processes, enabling current team members to access new growth opportunities and supporting career development through transparent internal pathways.

Your background

  • 5 years of experience in-house in a talent acquisition role.
  • You have experience working with marginalised communities, specifically sex workers, neurodivergent individuals, and people with disability.
  • A track record of designing, refining, and implementing structured hiring processes that deliver consistent results and a positive candidate experience always with an emphasis on accessibility.
  • You have facilitated training for interviewers and hiring managers, empowering others to assess candidates equitably and objectively.
  • You are skilled at reviewing and optimising candidate journeys, always seeking ways to improve communication, transparency, and inclusivity at every step.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with employees at all levels, particularly in a remote setting.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.

At Assembly Four, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to driving meaningful change for some of the world’s most marginalised communities. You’ll be supported to do your best work in an environment that values social impact, collaboration, and personal well-being.

Here’s what’s on offer:

  • Flexible work: Enjoy a 4-day (32-hour) work week at 100% pay.
  • Competitive compensation: Your salary will depend on how much experience you bring to the table, our pay points are between $127,000 - $147,000 plus super.
  • Fully remote: Work from anywhere with a remote work stipend to help set up your ideal workspace.
  • Wellness benefits: Access an annual well-being stipend, mental health support, and 1-on-1 financial coaching to support your personal and professional growth.
  • Generous leave: In addition to our 4 day work week we offer 4 weeks of annual leave and 4 weeks of personal/carer's leave per annum, flexible public holidays, and the option to take unpaid leave when you need it.
  • Profit share: We share our success with our team—each year, if Assembly Four is profitable, we distribute a portion of that profit to our people.

A note on diversity…

We believe diverse perspectives and lived experiences are key to delivering a positive impact for the communities we serve. Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds may hesitate to apply if they don't meet every listed requirement, unlike other candidates. We're committed to changing that. If you're interested in Assembly Four, we encourage you to apply and look forward to discovering how your unique perspective can help us edge closer to delivering on our mission
