The Role

This is an expression of interest opportunity- As we expand our customer base, we’re looking to build a bench of capable consultants to ensure we have the right skills for every project.

We’re looking for people with practical, commercial experience using AI development tools. Not just someone who’s read about or experimented with tools like Kiro, Cursor or Claude Code- someone who’s shipped production code with them, broken them, stacked them together, and has strong opinions about when each one earns its place in a workflow.

These would be hands-on contract roles to help us build upon a repeatable advisory offering that we take to customers looking to roll out AI developer tools across their engineering teams.

What You'll Do

•        Build on and support delivery of a packaged AI developer tools advisory service

•        Build upon and deliver assessment frameworks for evaluating enterprise engineering team’s readiness for AI coding tools

•        Create adoption playbooks, rollout plans, and ROI measurement templates that can be customised per client

•        Contribute to case study material based on Neoma’s own implementation journey

•        Support client engagements as a subject matter expert where needed

•        Establish measurement frameworks so we can track actual productivity impact

•        Document best practices, create internal guides, and run hands-on enablement sessions

•        Stay across the rapidly evolving landscape and flag when new tools or capabilities warrant a change in approach

What You'll Bring

•        Hands-on experience with multiple AI coding tools in production workflows (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Kiro)

•        Strong opinions, loosely held, about which tools work for which contexts- and evidence to back them up

•        A working understanding of modern software engineering workflows: CI/CD, version control, code review, testing

•        The ability to translate technical implementation into business outcomes- you can talk to a CTO and a CFO in the same meeting

•        Based in Australia

Bonus:

•        Experience researching then rolling out AI developer tools

•        Familiarity with developer productivity measurement

•        Exposure to prompt engineering, context engineering, and custom instruction design for coding agents

•        Background in platform engineering, developer experience, or DevOps

What This Isn't

•        A full-stack engineering role- you won’t be building products, you’ll be supercharging customers to

•        A strategy-only gig- we need someone who will get their hands dirty configuring tools, writing documentation, and running workshops
