ESG Analyst

Role Description The ESG Analyst role at Mind Masala is a part-time, remote position focused on evaluating and enhancing the company’s environmental, social, and governance practices. In this role, the analyst will research ESG standards and frameworks, collect and analyze relevant data, and prepare concise reports and dashboards to inform decision-making. Daily tasks include monitoring ESG trends in eCommerce, assessing the impact of company operations on sustainability and social responsibility, and recommending improvements to policies and procedures. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business strategy, procurement, and customer engagement initiatives. This role also involves supporting internal communications and documentation related to ESG goals, metrics, and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong ESG and sustainability knowledge, including familiarity with environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance best practices.
• Analytical and research skills, with experience in data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and developing actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear reports, summaries, and presentations for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.
• Experience or coursework in ESG, sustainability, finance, economics, business, or a related field; prior exposure to eCommerce or digital businesses is an advantage.
• Proficiency with productivity and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, collaboration platforms); experience with ESG reporting tools or frameworks is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in a relevant discipline is preferred, but equivalent practical experience will be considered.
