About the role
Our practice is small but growing and we are looking for someone who wants to join us for the process!
We need support to be able to manage the increasing demands of administrative tasks, and want someone who can lighten the load of our practitioners and director, and be a part of the team.
This is a new role and will require someone who is flexible, responsible and adaptable to change. We need someone who can learn new systems and processes along the way.
The ability to adapt to new systems is essential, while proficiency in healthcare practice software is highly desirable.

Job Type:
Casual, remote work from home
Hours per week: 8
Flexibility: Work from home during business hours over one or two days per week
Report to: Practice Director
Role description:
- Support the daily operations of the practice
- Provide customer service to prospective and existing clients, including via telephone, text messages and email
- Manage client lists and confidential files
- Support compliance with relevant legislation, including Medicare and NDIS
- Liaise with external organisations to provide information, follow up on referrals and reports.
- Support practitioners with administrative tasks including sending reports and resources, letters and scheduling appointments.
- Manage accounts and billing
- Create, schedule and manage content for social media and website
Essential criteria:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills across all platforms and with diverse populations.
- Incredible organisational skills with the ability to follow through and take initiative
- Attention to detail
- High ability to work with practitioners, clients, referrers and other practices
- Compassion for our clients and ability to respond to difficult situations with highest care
- Understanding of disability and health care systems
- Understanding of and exceptional ability to comply with all privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations under AHPRA and Australian law.
- Must hold Australian permanent resident status or equivalent work rights
- Facilities suitable to working from home in a safe, confidential environment, including an updated computer.
- Proven ability to work effectively in diverse team environments, and to working independently
- Computer skills including Office Suite and Google Workspace
Highly desirable:

- Experience with customer service
- Experience within the disability sector
- Working with Vulnerable People check is preferred but flexible arrangements can be made
