biio. is opening in three new cities over the next two years. Almost every decision in that plan still passes through the founders, and the constraint on how fast it moves is how much of their week is spent on things that don't require them. That is the problem this role solves.
About biio.
biio. was built for patients with complex invisible illness — hypermobility, dysautonomia, MCAS, chronic pain and fatigue, and the presentations that travel with them. In two years we've cared for more than 5,000 people across more than 18,000 consults, and grown from a handful of practitioners to a team of more than 70. We have clinics in Melbourne and Perth, Sydney opens in early 2027, and Brisbane and Adelaide follow.
The role
You'll work directly with the founders: their calendars, their inboxes, the decisions that need chasing, and the recruitment pipeline that determines how quickly we can open the next clinic. Interviews booked, candidates kept warm, listings live, nothing waiting on us. Beyond that, it's whatever is currently slowing the founders down — sourcing, bookings, clinic openings, supplier and property correspondence.
What it turns on
Judgment, mostly. Knowing which of forty emails is the one that matters, which meeting should have been declined, and which problem to solve without asking. You'll write in a founder's voice to clinicians, candidates and occasionally patients, so drafts need to be good enough to send with light edits. You'll also be across confidential staff, candidate and clinical matters from your first week. We use AI heavily and expect you to as well — we care that the output reads like a person wrote it, and reads like us.
Culture
Integrated care breaks down the moment someone stops listening, so we hire for the opposite. The people who do well here are low-ego and high-EQ: they ask before they assume and they treat a colleague's read on a situation as something to learn from rather than defend against. Humility, openness and inclusivity aren't slogans here — they're what lets a small team run a clinic well.
Who it's for
This will suit someone who wants proximity to how a business actually gets built, and who'd rather be given a problem than a process. As the company grows this role grows with it — toward chief of staff and broader operations, depending on where your strengths land. It's less suited to someone who wants a settled executive support seat with defined edges, because for the next two years there won't be one.
Hours and location
Full-time, hybrid from Collingwood or Subiaco, or fully remote, with occasional travel for clinic openings and team celebrations.
If you want to build something meaningful, we'd like to meet you.
