Family Lawyer

Allison Rowe Family Lawyers is growing, and we are looking for a experienced Family Lawyer (4+ years PAE) who shares our commitment to thoughtful, compassionate family law.

We work with people at some of the most difficult points in their lives. Our approach is calm, clear, and deeply human. We take the time to understand our clients, to guide them carefully, and to help them move forward with confidence, not just legally, but personally.

The Role

You will manage your own files while being part of a close, collaborative team. Our matters require both technical strength and emotional intelligence.

Your work will include:

• Complex property matters involving companies, trusts, and SMSFs
• Financial agreements requiring strategic thinking and careful drafting
• Parenting matters, often involving sensitive or high-conflict dynamics
• Running matters through negotiation, mediation, and, where necessary, litigation
• Providing advice that is not only legally sound, but clear, practical, and supportive

A Progressive, Technology-Enabled Practice

We are not a traditional firm, and we are not standing still.

Our practice is fully digital, and we are actively integrating new technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency, enhance client service, and reduce unnecessary administrative burden.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is comfortable working in a fully paperless, tech-driven environment
• Is open to learning and adopting new systems and tools
• Has a genuine interest in how technology, including AI, can improve legal practice
• Is adaptable and willing to evolve with the way family law is delivered

(Smokeball experience is advantageous, but mindset matters more than any specific system.)

About You

You are an experienced family lawyer who combines capability with care.

You will bring:

• Minimum 4 years post-admission experience in family law
• Strong experience in complex property and financial matters
• Confidence in litigation and advocacy, including appearances in the FCFCOA
• Excellent drafting and communication skills
• A calm, empathetic, and respectful approach with clients
• The ability to work independently while remaining connected to a team

Most importantly, you understand that family law is about people, not just files.
