Mid-Senior Remote Video Editor

This role is ideal for a creative video editor passionate about sports content and storytelling. You will be responsible for shaping the visual identity of a new YouTube series designed as a beginner’s guide to football, with a tone that is approachable, witty, and visually engaging. Working closely with provided assets—including custom illustrations, presenter footage, and style references—you will set the standard for the series’ pacing and visual density, ensuring the content is both informative and entertaining for viewers new to the sport. Deliverables

• Edit a 10–12 minute episode in 1080p MP4 format, maintaining a dynamic visual flow with changes every 3–5 seconds.
• Integrate comic-book style captions on all key phrases, ensuring clarity and consistency.
• Reuse and sequence provided illustrations thoughtfully to enhance narrative engagement.
• Apply modern, playful music and sound effects to punctuate the story without overwhelming the dialogue.
• Ensure the presenter is never alone on screen for more than 10 seconds, using visual elements to maintain viewer interest.
• Deliver final video with either burned-in captions or a separate SRT file.
• Collaborate on feedback and revisions to achieve the desired tone and style.
• Potential for ongoing work on future episodes and related content if the collaboration is successful.

Requirements

• Proven experience editing YouTube or online video content, ideally in sports, education, or entertainment.
• Strong proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to create visually dense, fast-paced edits in line with references such as Tifo Football.
• Skilled in integrating captions, illustrations, and sound design to enhance storytelling.
• Creative eye for pacing, comedic timing, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to work with provided assets and follow detailed style guides.
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.
• Availability for immediate start and capacity to deliver within agreed timelines.
• Portfolio or examples of relevant work required.
