Role Description The Senior Control Systems Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing control systems for industrial and manufacturing processes. Day-to-day tasks include developing control strategies, specifying hardware and software architectures, and integrating instrumentation and electrical components into robust systems. The role involves performing system modeling and analysis, troubleshooting complex control issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as operations, maintenance, and project management. The engineer will prepare technical documentation, support commissioning activities, and ensure compliance with relevant standards, safety requirements, and best practices. This position also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, mentors junior engineers, and provides expert technical guidance on control system upgrades and modernization projects. Salary AUD $170K annually Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Process Control and Control Systems Design, including PID tuning, control logic development, and system integration.
• Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering skills, such as understanding power distribution, instrumentation, and automation hardware (PLCs, drives, sensors).
• Candidates should possess Systems Engineering skills, including requirements definition, system architecture, interface management, and lifecycle support.
• Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving control system, electrical, and process-related issues.
• Relevant skills and qualifications include proficiency with PLC/SCADA/DCS platforms, industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and safety instrumented systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-10 years of experience in industrial automation, process industries, or manufacturing environments in a senior or lead engineering capacity.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional, and multicultural teams.
• Familiarity with international standards and best practices (e.g., IEC, ISO) and commitment to safe, reliable, and sustainable engineering solutions.
