Posted on: June 11, 2026
Company Description Provisional Psychologist Hub is dedicated to supporting the professional growth of emerging psychologists as they work toward full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). The organization focuses on empowering provisional psychologists through high-quality supervision, structured pathways, and practical guidance. It aims to remove barriers related to finding supervision, accessing relevant professional development, and obtaining psychometric assessments. With a nurturing and inclusive approach, Provisional Psychologist Hub creates an environment where provisional psychologists can build confidence, competence, and long-term career foundations. Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Board Approved Supervisor (Psychologist) who will provide individual and group supervision to provisional psychologists. The supervisor will guide supervisees in case formulation, intervention planning, ethical decision-making, and evidence-based practice aligned with PsyBA requirements. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing case notes and reports, providing structured feedback, supporting professional development planning, and assisting supervisees to meet competency and documentation standards. The role also involves maintaining accurate supervision records, participating in peer consultation as required, and collaborating with the Hub’s administrative team to schedule sessions and support quality assurance. The Board Approved Supervisor will model reflective practice, uphold professional and ethical standards, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning environment. Qualifications
- Current PsyBA registration as a psychologist with Board Approved Supervisor status (or eligibility to obtain/renew this status within a defined timeframe).
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision, including support with case formulation, assessment, treatment planning, and reflective practice.
- Strong knowledge of PsyBA guidelines, competency frameworks, and pathways to general registration for provisional psychologists.
- Proven ability to foster a psychologically safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive supervision environment for diverse supervisees.
- Excellent communication, feedback, and coaching skills, with the ability to balance support, challenge, and accountability.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining supervision records and meeting reporting requirements.
- Comfort and proficiency with remote work technologies (e.g., secure video platforms, digital documentation systems, and online learning tools).
- Experience across one or more practice areas (e.g., clinical, counseling, educational, health, or community psychology) that can enrich supervisees’ learning.
- Commitment to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and evidence-based approaches to supervision and clinical work.
- Postgraduate qualifications in psychology (e.g., Honours, Masters, Doctorate) are highly regarded.
