Junior Accountant

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Junior Accountant. The Junior Accountant will assist in managing daily financial operations, including maintaining and reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and processing invoices. Responsibilities also include assisting with tax filings, supporting compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate coding of transactions.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in accounting principles, account reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Experience with bookkeeping and handling invoices
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Prior experience in a similar accounting role is preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Familiarity with tax regulations in Senegal is a plus
