Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Server Support Engineer. The Server Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting server infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include providing technical support, diagnosing and resolving server and network issues, ensuring system performance and reliability, and maintaining operating systems and security protocols. The role requires effective collaboration with other teams and prompt communication with stakeholders to address support requests.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Server Support and Troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Experience in providing Technical Support to users and internal teams for server-related functions.
- Knowledge of Operating Systems, including installation, configuration, and updates, with a focus on both Windows and Linux environments.
- Understanding of Network Security principles and best practices to ensure system and data protection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications are desirable but not required.
