This role As we scale rapidly across regions, our internal communications must move just as fast. We're not here to “keep people informed”—we’re here to energise teams, connect the dots, and make clarity a competitive advantage. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for an Internal Communications Lead who thrives at the intersection of culture, performance, and technology. You’ll build an internal comms function that’s powered by AI, grounded in strategy, and fuelled by hustle. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to run the same old playbook. We're after an innovative thinker and builder. A doer. Someone who knows how to bring energy and scale communication systems using AI and automation. Someone who knows that comms isn’t about sending more messages—it’s about creating a highly energised, disciplined team with clarity that enables them to move fast. This isn’t internal comms as usual. If you’ve spent time in content, product marketing, lifecycle marketing, operations or editorial—and you’ve got a knack for AI tools, systems design and narrative craft—we want to hear from you. Your key focus areas will be:

  • Shape and implement our internal communications strategy, lead employee engagement activities and ensure our Heroes feel aligned with our vision, no matter where they are in the world
  • Play a key role in driving and delivering key internal events like our Global Gathering
  • Play a central role in change management by helping teams navigate transformation with clarity and confidence.

This will include:

  • Design a future-fit internal communications strategy that connects our global team to the mission, vision, and values of Employment Hero.
  • Energise our global team by crafting inspiring stories and moments that bring the EH Way to life—driving pride, clarity and connection across every Hero, everywhere.
  • Build and deploy AI-powered comms systems that drive clarity, reduce manual lift, and scale storytelling across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Run high-impact channels and moments like All Hands, Global Gathering, and executive-led communications—turning them into engines of energy and alignment.
  • Partner closely with leaders and Performance Ops to embed key messages into the flow of work—supporting change, growth, and global consistency.
  • Create engaging content, campaigns, and internal brand narratives that make strategy feel real and relatable to every Hero.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, translating business shifts into comms that move people to act, not just understand.

You might be an Internal Comms lead. But you might also be:

  • A Growth Marketer or Lifecycle pro who thrives on segmentation, automation, and getting the right info into the right hands
  • A Product Marketer or Content Strategist who’s turned complexity into clarity—ideally across global teams
  • A Program or Ops lead who’s built the comms layer for major transformation or scaling initiatives
  • A Journalist-turned-communicator with a killer sense of narrative, voice and timing
  • Or a scrappy AI-native generalist who’s fluent in Notion AI, Zapier, ChatGPT and Loom—and who can spin up scalable systems fast

To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in internal comms, brand storytelling, product marketing, lifecycle or operational roles in high-growth environments
  • A tech-forward, AI-curious mindset—you’re already experimenting with tools like ChatGPT, Notion AI, or automation workflows, and always hungry to learn more.
  • Proven ability to turn complex or ambiguous information into crisp, actionable comms that cut through the noise.
  • Experience managing and scaling internal events and channels across distributed teams.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills—you understand tone, timing, and what makes people care.
  • A “builder’s” mentality: You move quickly, iterate fast, and don’t wait for perfect to deliver impact.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, fast decisions, and global complexity
