About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this role supports Dealer Studio’s day-to-day finance operations across billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and period-end close activities.

You will work primarily in Xero and Google Sheets, handling transaction processing and review, supporting billing and weekly collections, reviewing supplier invoices and expenses, and assisting with period-end close to ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and well-supported. The role also contributes to the ongoing improvement of finance processes as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day finance operations in Xero, including transaction processing and review.
• Support billing and accounts receivable processes, including invoice preparation, weekly collections activities, and resolution of billing and payment issues.
• Support accounts payable processes, including review of supplier invoices and expenses for accuracy and compliance, resolving issues with internal stakeholders, and supporting payment preparation.
• Support period-end close activities by helping resolve outstanding issues, improve completeness of financial data, and support the preparation of month-end outputs.
• Maintain the integrity of financial data by identifying and resolving recurring issues in transactions, balances, and supporting documentation.

About You

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Accounting / Finance major).
• Experience working in a commercial finance team supporting day-to-day finance operations and period-end processes.
• Strong proficiency with Xero and Excel / Google Sheets.
• Solid understanding of core accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transaction processing, with a high level of accuracy.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfortable taking ownership of tasks, seeing issues through to resolution, and contributing to continuous improvement in how finance processes operate.
• You are motivated by working close to the source of financial information and enjoy engaging with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers to resolve issues. You value practical exposure to how finance processes operate day to day and are interested in contributing ideas and improvements as the finance function continues to evolve.
