Development Manager – Take Ownership | Lead Rebuild | Drive AI-First Engineering (Australia / New Zealand)

We’re Datapel, a fast-growing SaaS company powering smarter warehouse operations. Our platform helps businesses streamline, scale, and succeed—with thousands of transactions running through our systems every day.

We’re looking for candidates based in Australia or New Zealand who are ready to take on a key technical leadership role in a fully remote setup, working closely with distributed teams and our founding leadership.

We’re hiring a Development Manager to take full ownership of our tech stack—modernising our VB6 platform into a .NET-based system, leading a remote dev team, and acting as both architect and hands-on problem solver.

You’ll replace the founder as technical lead, partner with external agencies, and set the blueprint for our platform’s next generation.

What You Bring

• You’ve modernised legacy systems (VB6 → .NET) and led engineering teams
• You work fluently across AWS, .NET, CI/CD—and legacy components like Crystal Reports
• You use AI to code smarter, troubleshoot faster, and automate where possible
• You thrive in async, remote-first environments and own outcomes end to end
