Job Description
Posted on: May 12, 2026
Do you analyze the finer points of a Shakespearean sonnet or dissect a word's phonetic architecture with equal skill? Picture applying that command of linguistics and literature alongside advanced AI to reshape how millions of learners achieve fluency in language and literature. At 2 Hour Learning, we are not simply imagining the future of English education—we are building it into an adaptive, immersive learning journey. We are looking for a forward-thinking professional to drive our vision of revolutionizing English and Language Arts instruction through sophisticated data interpretation, groundbreaking AI integration, and profound domain knowledge. Your mission? To accelerate student comprehension of language concepts and literary interpretation by a factor of two, spanning foundational phonics through sophisticated literary critique. 2 Hour Learning is reinventing K-12 education with measurable outcomes. Our AI-powered learning platform is changing the landscape of student achievement, allowing learners to attain mastery at double the pace of conventional schooling. We are not adjusting existing frameworks; we are constructing an entirely new model from first principles, backed by compelling evidence. Platform users routinely earn scores of 4 and 5 on five or more AP examinations, exhibit growth exceeding two years on annual MAP evaluations, and surpass their own perceived limits of achievement. If you are prepared to deploy comprehensive ELA mastery within an AI framework delivering proven outcomes, submit your application today. What You Will Be Doing
- Examine student literacy and composition performance metrics—including Reel engagement data, MAP scores, and assessment outcomes—leveraging AI pipelines and LLM orchestrations to pinpoint learning deficits and architect focused interventions. (This accounts for approximately 40% of your role.)
- Building AI-driven resources that respond to varied learning approaches, transforming grammar into an intuitive experience, vocabulary acquisition into an engaging pursuit, and literary interpretation into an accessible skill for all learners.
- Engineering adaptive learning sequences that adjust dynamically, shepherding students from phonetic foundations through sophisticated textual analysis, guaranteeing each individual advances at the ideal velocity.
- Collaborate with content specialists, evaluation experts, and AI developers to ensure alignment with curricular frameworks and verify the precision of AI-produced instructional materials.
- Converting canonical and modern literature into engaging, AI-augmented learning experiences that both instruct students and kindle their enthusiasm for language and composition.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Overseeing conventional English programs or performing administrative duties—this position centers on innovation and strategic enhancement of language arts pedagogy within our accelerated framework.
- Manually evaluating volumes of student essays — AI manages the assessment workload, allowing you to concentrate on system refinement rather than paper grading.
- Preparing students specifically for standardized examinations — learners in this environment consistently exceed AP performance standards, enabling you to focus on enriching comprehension rather than test preparation.
Learning Designer Key Responsibilities Drive accelerated student achievement in English and Language Arts across all instructional levels, with a target of doubling the learning velocity compared to conventional teaching methods. Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Literature, Linguistics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience teaching English/Language Arts or developing ELA curriculum, with demonstrable impact on learning outcomes
- Formal coursework in learning sciences, or 2+ years applying learning science principles in educational product or content development.
