We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to manage accurate and timely payroll processing for our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, compliance, and ensuring smooth payroll operations in a remote-first environment.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees
- Maintain payroll records, tax filings, and employee deductions
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and regulations
- Manage payroll software, systems, and integrations with accounting tools
- Respond to employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate data input
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits and reconciliations
- Stay updated on relevant laws, tax changes, and compliance requirements
✅ Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in payroll processing or HR/finance operations
- Familiarity with Australian payroll regulations, taxation, and superannuation
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, ADP, KeyPay)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Must be based in Australia with legal right to work full-time
