CMY Cubes is hiring a Supply Chain & Fulfilment Manager to professionalise our supply chain function and build it into something that scales with where we're going. We design and manufacture an expanding range of STEAM and sensory tools; our iconic colour-shifting cubes, polyhedrons, puzzles, and optical objects loved by over 200,000 customers worldwide. Our products are accredited STEAM toys, available through the NDIS.

We sell across Shopify DTC, Amazon (AU and US, FBA and AWD), Faire wholesale, TikTok Shop, and direct B2B into retail. Manufacturing runs across multiple international factories, with fulfillment in Australia and the US today, and UK and EU warehouses coming online over the next 12 months.

We're small, fast-moving, and built around precision. Our products are physical, tangible, and unforgiving; if something is wrong, customers see it. The same standard applies to how we run operations.

The Role You Could Play

As Supply Chain & Fulfilment Manager, you will own factory relationships, 3PL network management, inventory strategy, and freight, taking the function off the founders' plate and running it as your own. You'll work across the whole team; closest collaborators are the CMO on demand planning and inventory availability, our product development lead on new SKU timelines and factory briefs, and our finance function on inventory as capital. Externally you own the 3PL relationships, the factory relationships, and the freight forwarders.

On an ongoing basis, you will:

  • Manage factory relationships across multiple international manufacturers; production schedules, quality, lead times, escalations
  • Own 3PL network management across Australia, the US, and new regions coming online; you'll be the primary relationship owner with every account manager
  • Lead inventory strategy across all SKUs, regions, and channels including Amazon FBA and AWD; rolling 90/180/365 day planning, forecasting, allocation, cash efficiency
  • Run freight and inbound logistics; LCL today, FCL as we scale, with real cost discipline
  • Own systems and tooling; we run a light IMS today and you'll be the one to tell us what we should run tomorrow and migrate us to it
  • Lead new warehouse onboarding; UK and EU expansion plus additional 3PLs over the next 12 months
  • Manage risk across supplier contingencies, freight disruptions, stock-out prevention, and cash exposure

This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on operational leadership. This is senior, but you don't have an army below you. You'll be on the call with the 3PL AM when something breaks, fixing the forecasting spreadsheet, chasing the missing container, and rebuilding the inbound process when it doesn't work. If you're past doing the work yourself, or you wait to be asked, this isn't for you.

What You Will Bring

  • 5 to 10 years owning supply chain or fulfilment for a physical product business, with direct experience managing international manufacturing and multi-region 3PLs
  • Proven ability to own 3PL relationships across regions and hold an AM accountable without burning the relationship
  • Strong judgement on which inventory and forecasting tools are worth the money and which are bloated nonsense
  • Commercial fluency; you read a P&L well enough to treat inventory as capital
  • Bias to action; you move first, you don't wait to be asked
  • Resourcefulness; you're the kind of person who'd email a 3PL in Dubai before the founder even knew you were considering it

Must-haves (non-negotiable)

  • Comfortable on the phone and across async tools. This role lives on calls, WeChat, Slack, and email all day. If you prefer email-only, this isn't for you.
  • Timezone flexibility at short notice. International suppliers, US warehouses, EU partners coming online; expect occasional calls outside standard business hours.
  • Proficient with Claude as a daily operating tool, including agents and automation. Cowork experience is a plus. We expect you to automate the boring parts of this role aggressively.
  • Amazon Seller Central and Shopify fluency. FBA, AWD, inventory placement, fee structures, Shopify operations end-to-end. These are our two main platforms and we don't want to teach them.
  • Willingness to travel to China for factory partner visits.

Nice to have: TikTok Shop experience.

Compensation and structure

Competitive base salary with option for ESOP.Β 

Remote: fully remote within Australia.

Reports to: CEO. You'll work closely with our CMO on inventory availability and demand planning, but accountability sits with one person.

Travel: infrequent but real. Expect occasional international trips to factory partners in China and 3PLs in the US, UK, and EU as those regions come online.

How to apply

  2. Walk us through a supply chain or fulfilment problem you owned end to end. What was broken, what you did, what changed, and what it cost or saved. Name the specific tools, vendors, and decisions involved.
  3. Our actual stack: one US 3PL, one self-managed warehouse in Australia, inventory at Amazon FBA and AWD, LCL freight from multiple international factories, light IMS, spreadsheet forecasting. Expansion scheduled for Amazon UK, EU, and new 3PLs. In your first 90 days, what would you actually do? Be specific. Name the tools you'd evaluate, what you'd cut, what you'd build first, and what you'd leave alone. Generic answers will be obvious.

A note on AI: we use AI agents heavily and we expect you to. But we will ask you to defend your video answers on a live call. If you can't speak fluently to the specifics you put in your video, we'll know.
