Job Description

Posted on: May 12, 2026

Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst (AI Training)About The Role We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI — and we need real GRC practitioners to help us get there. Your hands-on experience with security policies, compliance frameworks, and risk management will directly shape how AI systems reason about governance and risk. This isn't a traditional GRC role. You'll be putting your expertise to work in a new way — reviewing, evaluating, and validating AI-generated compliance scenarios so that frontier AI models understand how security and risk actually work inside real organizations.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Review and analyze security policies, controls, and procedures for accuracy and completeness
  • Evaluate compliance scenarios across frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST
  • Assess risk statements, control mappings, and audit-style documentation
  • Generate and validate high-quality training and evaluation data for AI systems
  • Apply your real-world GRC knowledge to identify gaps, errors, or weaknesses in AI-generated outputs
  • Provide structured, precise written feedback that helps AI reason more accurately about risk

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in GRC, compliance, risk management, or a related field
  • Solid working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting policy documents, audit reports, and control documentation
  • Detail-oriented with strong written reasoning and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently on an asynchronous schedule

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in information security, internal audit, or third-party risk management
  • Familiarity with risk quantification methodologies or GRC platforms

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Contribute to meaningful work that helps AI better understand security and risk
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
