Veeam Consultant – IBM Cloud Object Storage IntegrationAbout the client:

Our client is a global consultancy supporting enterprise backup and recovery optimisation. This role focuses on resolving Veeam backup failures and implementing a scalable hybrid solution integrated with IBM Cloud Object Storage.

About the role:

We are seeking a Veeam Consultant to lead the optimisation and reconfiguration of a Veeam Backup & Replication environment. You’ll diagnose backup failures, align the system with best practices, and design a hybrid backup architecture using IBM Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve daily Veeam backup failures.
• Review and document current backup infrastructure and configurations.
• Apply best practices for Veeam server, storage, and network setup.
• Reconfigure backup jobs with short-term on-prem and long-term cloud retention.
• Enable deduplication and compression for performance and storage efficiency.
• Design and implement Scale-Out Backup Repository (SOBR) with IBM Cloud integration.
• Configure High Availability (HA) proxy servers for fault tolerance and job distribution.
• Deliver documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational checklists.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Veeam implementation and IBM Cloud integration.
• Strong understanding of backup job scheduling, retention policies, and storage optimisation.
• Experience with HA proxy configuration and SOBR design.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex backup issues.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and performance tuning.
• Experience producing technical documentation and implementation reports.
