Job Description

Posted on: February 26, 2026

Who are we? UpGuard’s mission is to protect the world’s data. We obsessively seek out elegant, robust ways to enable our customers to find, acknowledge, and remediate cyber risks. With UpGuard, organizations leverage our security expertise and software to automate what was once laborious, spreadsheet-driven processes–whether it's monitoring the attack surface of hundreds of vendors or assessing the security of their own infrastructure. UpGuard is used by some of the world’s largest, fastest growing and most innovative companies. The Product team works across many types of initiatives at UpGuard. From platform improvements to our quarterly event, UpGuard Summit. Since UpGuard’s main audience is other people who keep their companies secure, we agonize over and take pride in creating experiences that are user-friendly, educational, and more importantly, actionable. Why are we hiring this role? As a Senior Growth Product Designer at UpGuard, you’ll play a key role within our Growth squad, designing and optimising experiences that drive acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention across our rapidly growing cybersecurity SaaS platform. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing, you’ll take high-level growth opportunities and turn them into thoughtful, experiment-ready designs and prototypes. You’ll stay closely involved as solutions move into development, sweating the details to deliver measurable impact alongside exceptional user experiences. You’ll also have meaningful exposure to our highly engaged user community, including teams from some of the world’s leading companies, using their feedback and behavioural insights to inform continuous growth improvements. What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the design of end-to-end product experiences, from early concept through to polished execution and iteration, with a strong focus on driving measurable growth outcomes
  • Partner with PMs, engineers, and subject matter experts to shape feature direction and design decisions
  • Align on discovery efforts, contribute to research plans, run interviews, and translate insights into opportunities
  • Prototype and test ideas at the right level of fidelity for each stage of the process, enabling rapid experimentation and learning
  • Improve core user flows by simplifying complexity and enhancing clarity and usability
  • Contribute to our design system and help raise the bar on design quality and experimentation maturity across teams.
  • Refine designs using feedback from customers, product data, and internal input
  • Collaborate with engineers to build, test, and ship high-quality product experiences

What will you bring?

  • Experience: 5+ years of commercial product design experience, ideally with exposure to growth, experimentation, or optimisation work. You have a strong track record of shipping simple, intuitive user experiences that solve real-world problems and move key product metrics
  • Craft: You care deeply about quality, balancing visual polish with sharp problem framing. Your portfolio demonstrates strong interaction and visual design, along with clear thinking about hypotheses, user impact, and measurable outcomes
  • Proactivity: You take initiative, seek clarity, and drive your work forward without needing hand-holding. You're comfortable owning features end-to-end and navigating ambiguity with confidence
  • Systems: Experience contributing to and evolving design systems with engineers and designers. You also help shape internal team processes that improve collaboration, quality, and consistency
  • Communication: Clear communicator who explains design rationale well, gives actionable feedback, and works smoothly with remote teams
  • Collaboration: A low-ego, team-first approach to working with PMs, engineers, and other designers — you know when to lead, when to support, and how to uplift others
  • Growth mindset: You’re always looking to improve, open to feedback, and proactive about learning. You draw inspiration from industry best practice and apply it thoughtfully to your work
  • Tools: You have strong experience with Figma and use it to efficiently create production-ready designs. You’re comfortable with modern tooling and staying up to date as the ecosystem evolves

What would give you an edge?

  • Experience in cybersecurity. If not, you’ll just need to be willing to learn
  • Experience in designing SaaS software
  • Experience working in an agile software development team
  • Experience designing for a multilingual audience
