About the Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to join our team on a casual part-time remote basis. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in Australia, with the opportunity for occasional in-person shoots if you are based in Sydney.

As a Social Media Manager at The Digital Icon, you will work closely with high-profile clients in the media and entertainment industry to craft compelling social media content and strategies that elevate their brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Write engaging and on-brand social media captions tailored to each client’s voice.
• Design eye-catching graphics using Canva or Photoshop
• Edit videos for social media using Adobe Premiere Pro
• Develop and execute comprehensive social media plans and content calendars
• Collaborate with our team and clients to brainstorm creative campaign ideas
• Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies accordingly
• Attend in-person shoots in Sydney (if local), otherwise coordinate remotely

About You

• Proven experience managing social media accounts (preferably in media, entertainment, or agency environments)
• Strong English writing skills with a flair for storytelling and brand voice
• Proficient in Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop for graphic design
• Skilled in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro
• Ability to develop and implement strategic social media plans
• Passionate about media, entertainment, and digital trends
• Organised, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting
• Based in Australia (Sydney location a plus for occasional shoots)
