Mercor is hiring experienced legal professionals to contribute to a structured data project focused on Ecuadorian legal and financial documentation. This project involves compiling and verifying publicly available legal content to support internal AI model testing and external product demonstrations.

The role is well-suited for lawyers with litigation or corporate/transactional backgrounds who are capable of working independently, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy. Work is fully remote, asynchronous, and short-term in nature.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and organize publicly available legal and financial documents in line with established project guidelines
• Ensure all compiled materials meet accuracy, completeness, and formatting standards
• Follow structured documentation processes to maintain data quality
• Validate sources to confirm public accessibility and legal compliance
• Work asynchronously with the project manager and meet all delivery deadlines

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of active legal practice experience in Ecuador
• Prior work in litigation or corporate/transactional law
• Strong familiarity with Ecuadorian legal and regulatory document sources
• High attention to detail and ability to work within structured documentation requirements
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment

Role Details

• Type: Part-time, hourly contract
• Duration: 2–3 weeks (project-based)
• Time Commitment: 10–20 hours per week

• Compensation: $50–$80 USD per hour (commensurate with experience)
