Job Description

About Us

We’re in stealth, building a new shopping platform that blends affiliate marketing with a loyalty-style mechanic, rewarding customers instantly for their purchases. On the merchant side, we integrate with major affiliate networks to drive growth. On the consumer side, we’re building a sleek shopping portal where rewards, multipliers, and fun mechanics keep users engaged.

The RoleWe’re looking for a developer/architect with deep affiliate marketing experience to guide and oversee the build of our consumer portal and its affiliate integrations. You’ll bring the domain expertise to ensure our tracking, attribution, and reconciliation are bulletproof — and that our front-to-back architecture can scale.

We have some existing FE/BE resources at your disposal, so you won't need to code the whole thing solo, but you’ll set the guardrails, design the key integrations, and step in hands-on where needed, essentially holding our hand through the process and detecting and flaws before they become issues.

Responsibilities

  • Affiliate Integrations: Design and oversee integration with major affiliate networks (Commission Factory, Awin, Impact, Rakuten, etc.).
  • Tracking & Attribution: Ensure reliable postback setup, link management, and fraud/leakage handling.
  • System Architecture: Define flows from click → purchase → affiliate confirmation → reward allocation.
  • Guardrails: Advise on reconciliation against refunds, attribution conflicts, and compliance with network standards.
  • Collaboration: Oversee and mentor backend/frontend developers, making sure integrations are smooth and consistent.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in affiliate marketing technology (network, cashback, loyalty, or rewards platform).
  • Strong background in back-end development (Node.js/Next.js preferred).
  • Familiarity with affiliate tracking, postbacks, and attribution systems.
  • Understanding of fraud/risk management, reversals, and refund reconciliation.
  • Ability to work in a lightweight, startup environment — advising, architecting, and coding where needed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.).
  • Exposure to gamified rewards or loyalty programs.
  • Comfort leading small dev teams.

Contract Details

  • 8-15 hrs/week
  • Remote, flexible hours.
  • Initial contract with opportunity to expand as we scale.
