Named a Top 100 Accounting Firm and Top Workplace USA, we’re recognized for exceptional employee engagement and dedication in helping our clients solve problems, navigate complexity, and build a foundation for sustainable growth.
In 2018, we became a certified B Corporation (B Corp**™**). The B Corp certification distinguishes companies that use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. It helps us better assess how our core values align with our daily operations and identify where we can improve.
Summary:
The Finance Manager (International Markets) will lead financial planning, reporting, and strategic analysis for the firm’s international operations and global business initiatives. This role will lead finance operations across our Australian and Irish entities and collaborate closely with our US-based global finance function. This is a high-visibility role offering the opportunity to shape and influence the firm’s international financial footprint. A successful candidate will combine operational finance expertise with a deep understanding of international markets and professional services environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for our international markets, with a primary focus on Australia and Ireland.
- Monitor financial performance across global operations, providing leadership with actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and regular reports that highlight risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with local and regional stakeholders to align financial strategies with business objectives, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
- Lead financial operations including AP, AR, and general ledger reporting—providing strategic oversight and review (without managing day-to-day transactional processing)
- Own budgeting and forecasting cycles in partnership with internal teams and global leadership
- Review and guide the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results, and support annual audits and statutory reporting in foreign jurisdictions
- Advise on revenue recognition and transfer pricing strategies, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and contributing to the development and refinement of inter-company policies
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of BAS and IAS filings in Australia, working closely with internal bookkeepers and liaising with external tax advisors to manage FBT and other statutory requirements
- Define, implement, and maintain localized expense policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally within international or high-growth environments
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License or Chartered Accountant (CA) License
- Australian finance experience required and Irish/European experience highly preferred
- Experience working in a public accounting firm or professional services environment
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or MBA with a finance concentration
- Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and how they apply to financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency with financial systems, Xero (required) and Sage Intacct (highly desirable)
- Solid working knowledge of Australian and Irish tax and compliance requirements
- Experience in budgeting, revenue recognition, and financial governance
- Familiarity with inter-company transactions and transfer pricing principles
- Capable of managing multiple time zones, deliverables, and regulatory deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across distributed and cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with experience in remote-first environments
There are many reasons to join the Sensiba team: generous benefits, competitive compensation, professional advancement opportunities, and above all — our people.
