At Open Parachute, we create online mental health programs for schools, based on documentary videos of real youth sharing their stories of overcoming struggle. Our programs help school teachers deliver effective preventative mental health lessons in the classroom, which is a new and novel way for schools to address mental health. We’re a team united by our shared values of creating generational change.
We are a remote team that currently supports over 300,000 students in schools across five countries and is growing. This is why we are hiring a part-time(3-4 days per week) Account Manager to support our schools in driving adoption, managing business processes, and growing our business.
This role is a balance of individual work within a highly collaborative team. You will be working directly with schools to maintain and grow existing relationships with the goal of achieving high retention and customer satisfaction.
You will support all of our Australian schools, working closely with our National School Partnerships Manager. We are looking for someone who is highly intelligent and can think on their feet and jump in headfirst.
This role requires a significant investment of time, energy and passion. We are a high-performance team with high expectations of everyone who works with us. We are looking for someone whose focus is on the customer and the business, not on the clock.

- Communicating with customers via Email, Phone and Zoom
- Being organised and never missing a client communication
- Managing competing priorities
- Writing clear, concise, and purposeful emails
- Owning your mistakes and growing from them
- Using a CRM to set and manage all priorities
- Collaborating with others
- Using technology and software
- Listening with intent and learning quickly
- Asking questions, gaining clarity, and checking your understanding

As our Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Communications with our Customers and potential Customers
- Responding to Emails (50+ per day)
- Answering the phone and running sales discovery calls
- Supporting the National School Partnerships Manager with tasks and projects
- Proactively checking in with customers to ensure that they get the most value out of our program throughout the school year (via phone, Zoom and email)
- Maintaining meticulous records using our CRM
What you’ll need:
- At least 1 year of professional experience in Customer Success or Account Management
- Prior experience in K-12 education, supporting schools/teachers
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
- Can present professionally from home in a private space
- Experience working in an EdTech company is desirable
