Who are we?

Here at Nothing, we're building a world where tech is fun again. Remember a time where every new product made you excited? We're bringing that back.

To get there we're gathering the creative and the curious. Those who are passionate enough to question the old and embrace the new. In return, you'll be part of a movement. Contributing to a global ecosystem of products that bring joy to people's lives.

In four years, we've sold over 5 million products worldwide including Phone (1), which was listed on Time Magazine's Best Inventions of 2022 for Innovative Smartphone Design. In 2024, we launched our third and fourth smartphones, as well as a new audio lineup, including our debut in Open Sound Technology: Ear (open).

Alongside our core product range, we also have CMF by Nothing. A sub-brand dedicated to making great design more accessible without compromising on quality and innovation.

Everyday at Nothing we share an optimism that we're making a difference to the world. If that sounds like something you'd like to be part of, read on……

Our Culture

Radical spirit drives everything we do and spans seven offices around the globe. Our 4 core values sit at the heart of everything we do:

Be the change - we are proactive, action orientated and drive change, stepping outside of our comfort zone.

Pride in the product - we obsess over detail, always improving and staying curious about tech and the world.

Thrive on Diversity - we welcome differences, listen & communicate with respect and collaborate to build strong teams.

Survive - we empower everyone to act as an owner and understand the business as a whole which leads to delivering exceptional results.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and culturally fluent PR Manager to lead the local communications strategy across consumer, product and corporate. You will work closely with global functional teams and regional leaders/channel partners to tell bold stories that shape culture, build love for our brand, and grow the business in the local market.

This is a strategic yet hands-on role, ideal for someone who understands the ANZ media landscape deeply and thrives in fast-moving, challenger-brand environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead our communications strategy for ANZ, from planning to execution, aligned with ANZ marketing goals and global communications priorities.
  • Shape clear, compelling narratives for product launches, brand moments, and cultural initiatives.
  • Ensure messaging is locally relevant while remaining consistent with global brand positioning.
  • Lead integrated campaign moments for product launches, brand storytelling, and thought leadership.
  • Optimize PR comms campaigns to achieve OKRs, driving brand and product awareness in the local market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key ANZ media, including: Technology, Lifestyle & culture, Business and Mainstream news.
  • Secure high-quality earned media coverage across online, print, broadcast, and podcasts.
  • Monitor local reputation, manage issues and crisis comms as needed. Track coverage, sentiment, and performance, and keep pushing for more.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of the PR comms in ANZ market.
  • A good understanding of data analysis and marketing analytics, with an ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to think outside the box and create innovative campaigns.
  • Event management experience is a plus.
  • Results-driven, with a clear focus on achieving KPIs to drive business outcomes.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
  • Minimum 5 years in PR and communications, with a strong preference for backgrounds in design-focused fashion, lifestyle, or consumer electronics.
