Senior Procurement Specialist
Job Description
Posted on: April 16, 2025
We are an integrated defence consulting firm, combining specialist expertise across commercial advisory, project management and logistics services. Our team possesses unrivalled expertise in the delivery of high-value, strategically significant defence projects to the Australian Government.
We are backed by a deep and nuanced understanding of the unique commercial and technical challenges that arise during the acquisition and sustainment of defence capability.
Due to significant growth, an opportunity exists for a senior procurement specialist to join our team.
You will work alongside our clients on high-profile government projects, assisting with drafting tender documentation and contracts, assessing tenders, negotiating with suppliers, and implementing procurement policy and law. As a client-facing role, this position requires someone who is solutions-oriented, has great customer service skills and is comfortable working independently.
This role will offer true work-life balance, market-leading remuneration and flexible working arrangements with the ability to work from home most or all of the time.
You will be rewarded with:
- interesting work of genuine significance to the Australian public;
- great work hours – this role is truly 9-5pm;
- a supportive, vibrant and knowledgeable team. You'll receive mentoring from young and dynamic directors, who will be heavily involved in your professional development. You will be given significant support; and
- market-leading remuneration – we pay $120K+ to procurement specialists in the earlier stages of their career through to $180K+ for more experienced advisors.
We are open to applicants from a range of industries and backgrounds, but you’d be a great fit if you:
- have gained experience working across government departments (especially the Department of Defence), particularly in the areas of procurement, construction, technology, contracting, or probity;
- have demonstrated experience in client-facing roles, are proactive and solutions-focused and capable of working independently;
- want to work in a relatively new and steadily growing team with great prospects of future leadership; and
- have an active AGSVA security clearance, or the ability to gain or reinstate an earlier security clearance.
