Financial Planning Analyst

The Opportunity

Maven Partners are working with a multinational veterinary group that are currently well-into the acquisition phase of their move into the Australian market. With over 500 veterinary practices in the UK, the business is highly-regarded, and are in the process of replicating their huge success in Europe to the Australasian market.

Due to the firm’s impressive growth, they are looking to bring on-board a Financial Analyst to have a focus on the businesses acquisitions in the country.

The successful candidate will work-from-home on a full-time basis but will be responsible for the analysis of the groups acquisition targets; building and presenting business cases, business partnering with other areas of the business (globally) and aiding in the integration of the groups newly-acquired businesses.

The Role

• Detailed financial analysis of acquisition targets and strategic support to play a key role in the company’s growth, working closely with the Acquisitions Director
• Preparing and presenting financial forecasts and reports to senior management and the Board of Directors
• Collaborating with the UK business to drive the growth and direction of the Australian group
• Ensuring that the valuation of acquisition targets is fair using data obtained through your analysis
• Business partnering to present your findings and business cases to other areas of company
• Reporting directly to the Head of Tax/Head of Acquisitions with frequent communication to the Global Executive Team

The Person

• Ideally qualified with a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CFA, CPA)
• Around five years of professional experience in accounting, with time spent both within a commercial business and an accountancy practice
• A strong communicator with the confidence to negotiate with senior members of the acquisition team and ability to present to the global executive team
• Driven individual with the ambition to be a part of a business going through a rapid growth phase
• Will be able to self-manage as an integral part of the Australia team
