Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven QA Engineer / Software Tester to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing and quality assurance activities. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and improving testing processes to support the delivery of high-quality software products that meet business and user requirements.

The role will participate throughout the software development lifecycle by reviewing business and technical requirements, developing test strategies, creating test plans and test cases, and executing manual and automated testing activities. Responsibilities include validating software functionality, usability, performance, security, and compatibility across different platforms and environments.

Key responsibilities include performing functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, user acceptance, and performance testing where applicable. The QA Engineer / Software Tester will identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects, collaborate with development teams to resolve issues, verify bug fixes, and ensure that software releases meet established quality standards.

The role will also contribute to test automation initiatives by developing and maintaining automated test scripts, supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, and improving testing frameworks and quality assurance methodologies. Additional responsibilities include maintaining test documentation, analyzing quality metrics, participating in code and requirement reviews, and recommending process improvements that enhance software quality and development efficiency.

This position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile and cross-functional development teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, Agile, ISTQB, or related fields is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance principles, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with manual testing, automated testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, API testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Understanding of defect lifecycle management, test planning, test case design, and quality metrics.
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar languages is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks, SQL, version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking tools, and test management platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing activities and meet project deadlines.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and quality improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional software development teams.
