Sales & Applications Engineer
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Drive sales growth through effective account management, strategic planning, and business development activities.
- Identify opportunities to expand product penetration and increase share of wallet within existing accounts.
- Prospect and develop new customers within targeted industrial sectors.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide technical and commercial recommendations that deliver measurable value for customers.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and account development plans.
- Collaborate with technical, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate customer records, opportunity pipelines, and sales forecasts within CRM systems.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to support business growth.
- Represent Freudenberg at industry events, trade shows, and customer forums.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Account Management, Business Development, Technical Sales, Reliability Services, Maintenance, or a related industrial environment.
- Strong relationship-building and customer engagement skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and convert growth opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer priorities.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly.
