In this role, you will be essential in facilitating efficient communication between patients and clinical operations, managing appointment changes through various channels. Your efforts will directly impact patient care by optimizing scheduling processes and providing timely responses to patient inquiries, all within a fast-paced, remote-first environment. Accountabilities
- Play a critical role in supporting live patient scheduling and rescheduling
- Serve as the frontline communicator between patients and clinical operations
- Thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment
- Respond to patient replies triggered by reschedule notifications (SMS/email)
- Engage with patients to identify appointment options that meet their availability and preferences
- Modify, cancel, and rebook appointments in Athena following established protocols
- Monitor and respond to scheduling-related Zendesk tickets and internal Slack threads
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume healthcare operations or patient services role
- At least 2 years of experience working in AthenaHealth and Zendesk
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
