Role Description This full-time remote role of SEO Specialist / Content Writer / Web Content Coordinator at Génération Montante des Maintenanciers Industriels du Burkina Faso (G2MI-BF) focuses on improving the online visibility and performance of the organization’s digital platforms. The role involves planning and executing SEO strategies, optimizing website content, and coordinating updates across web pages to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational goals. Day-to-day tasks include conducting keyword research, performing on-page optimizations, executing link-building initiatives, and monitoring website performance using analytics tools. The specialist will create and edit clear, engaging, and technically accurate content, collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information, and ensure that all web content adheres to branding and accessibility standards. This role also includes preparing regular performance reports, making data-driven recommendations, and staying current with SEO and content best practices. Qualifications
- Strong SEO core skills, including Keyword Research and On-Page SEO, with the ability to identify opportunities and optimize pages for search engines and users.
- Experience conducting comprehensive SEO Audits and using Web Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console) to interpret data and improve site performance.
- Knowledge of Link Building strategies and best practices to ethically acquire high-quality backlinks and strengthen domain authority.
- Proven ability to write, edit, and coordinate web content, with attention to clarity, structure, and audience needs.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar) and basic HTML/CSS for formatting and publishing web content.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple web content and SEO tasks in a remote, full-time environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is an asset given the regional context.
- Experience or strong interest in industrial maintenance, engineering, or technical fields is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
