Telehealth Medical Cannabis Authorised Prescriber (AP) Doctor

The Opportunity**:** This is a permanent full-timerole that combines regular medicinal cannabis prescribing duties with additional leadership responsibilities to ensure the safety, support, and clinical development of the team. Key Responsibilities: In addition to their standard clinical load, the Clinical Team Lead will dedicate approximately 2 hours per week to:

• Support Escalated Clinical Cases: Provide oversight and guidance on complex patient scenarios referred by other clinicians.
• Script Amendments: Action urgent prescription amendments, ensuring timely and compliant care.
• Clinical Governance: Monitor and support safe prescribing practices within their team.
• Education & Mentorship: Act as a point of clinical guidance for new practitioners, especially those onboarding into medicinal cannabis prescribing.

Requirements:

• Must be an Authorised Prescriber of medicinal cannabis (to manage scripts autonomously).
• AHPRA registration and ability to prescribe Schedule 8 medication.
• Prior experience prescribing medicinal cannabis in a tele-health setting.
• Strong understanding of clinical compliance and patient safety practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
