Paraplanner

We are expanding! We will be looking to hire a remote (Australian-based only) paraplanner in the new year (Jan/Feb 2026). The lead-up to Christmas is crazy busy, so we are putting it out there early that we are taking applications for consideration.

About Coastal Paraplanning

• Fully remote, based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD
• Service boutique financial planning offices, including HNW

About you:

• Be based in Australia (offshore candidates will not be considered)
• Have at least 2 years experience as a full-time in-house paraplanner (including completing research, modelling and creating SOAs), or as an outsource/contract paraplanner.
• Confident with the following areas of advice and strategies (super/pension, defined benefits, investment, insurance, debt (including gearing), SMSF, Centrelink, and estate planning)
• Company, trust, and DVA knowledge are preferred, but not a requirement
• Aged care is a bonus but not a requirement
• Have Xplan experience (experienced and proficient in Xtools+, RiskResearcher, and WealthSolver), including SMSF
• Multi-entity modelling (trust and company) is preferred, but not a requirement
• Be comfortable creating SOAs through multiple formats (Xplan wizard, multiple manual word-based templates, and proprietary software)
• Can manage your own workflow effectively
• Be comfortable with contract/casual employment (will consider both for the right candidate)
• Can provide at least one recent reference for your paraplanning-related work.
