Founding Engineer

Broker Capital is a rapidly growing fintech. We have significant backing, demand is surging, and we're scaling and building tech to keep up. Now we need a senior full-stack engineer to architect and build our new lending platform from the ground up.

This is a rare zero-to-one role: greenfield codebase, modern stack, real ownership, and the chance to shape the technical foundation of a company that's going somewhere fast.

Remote role, you can be based in Australia or off-shore.

Who You Are

You're not just a coder, you're a business and product minded engineer. You like complex problems and you like shipping. You want to work on something that matters with a small, bold team. Ideally you did some time at FAANG pushing through Jira tickets in a 14-step process, and you learned best practice there, before deciding you wanted to make impact

You probably:

• Have 5+ years of full-stack development under your belt
• Are strong across React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Quickly adopt AI coding tools
• Know your way around database design and management (PostgreSQL)
• Have built real production systems end-to-end — front end, back end, data layer, deployment
• Business inclined and pragmatic decision maker
• Communicate clearly with non-technical people (you'll be talking to credit, ops, and the founders directly)

Bonus points for: fintech or lending experience, AWS, or a track record of taking products from zero to one.

What You'll Do

• Help design and build our lending platform — front-end UX, a loan management system, with cloud backend and hosting
• Make the architectural calls that will shape the product for years
• Work directly with the founders and the wider team to ship features that move the business
• Set the engineering bar as the team grows around you
