Job Description

Posted on: May 4, 2026

Security Operations Analyst (AI Training)About The Role We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build the next generation of intelligent security systems. As a Security Operations Analyst, your real-world expertise will directly shape how AI understands, reasons through, and responds to cybersecurity threats — making SOC AI smarter, more accurate, and more aligned with how analysts actually work. If you've spent time in a SOC triaging alerts, investigating incidents, or hunting threats, this is a rare opportunity to put that experience to work on something bigger.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze realistic SOC scenarios — alerts, incidents, and investigations — and evaluate how AI systems respond to them
  • Classify severity levels, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions
  • Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and real-world relevance
  • Validate AI outputs to ensure they reflect how experienced security analysts actually think and operate
  • Provide structured, expert feedback that helps frontier AI models reason through threats more effectively

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role
  • Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage workflows, and threat investigation processes
  • Skilled at distinguishing genuine security signals from noise and false positives
  • Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on asynchronous, task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with EDR, SOAR, or threat intelligence platforms
  • Background in malware analysis, network forensics, or cloud security
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK or similar frameworks
  • Prior involvement in AI evaluation, red teaming, or security research

Why Join Us

  • Work on frontier AI systems alongside top security and AI research teams
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, on your own terms
  • Freelance autonomy: no meetings, no micromanagement, just meaningful work
  • Contribute to AI that could redefine how the security industry operates
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as projects grow
