QA Tester / Automation Engineer

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a QA Tester / Automation Engineer. The role involves designing, executing, and maintaining test cases and test suites for web-based platforms and internal tools. The QA professional will perform manual testing, support test automation efforts, identify defects, and work closely with developers and product stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of features. Day-to-day activities include analyzing requirements, preparing test data, documenting defects, verifying fixes, and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes. The role may also include collaborating across time zones and participating in virtual meetings to align on release schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Quality Assurance foundation, including experience with QA methodologies, best practices, and defect lifecycle management.
• Hands-on skills in Manual Testing and Test Execution, particularly for web applications or SaaS platforms.
• Ability to design, document, and maintain clear and reusable Test Cases aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
• Strong Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, and troubleshoot complex issues across systems.
• Experience with or exposure to test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with issue-tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Git, Confluence, or equivalents).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team.
• Prior experience testing data-driven or content-heavy platforms is an advantage; interest in aviation or route development is a plus.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
