The Story
Business Fitness is not your average accounting tech company.
Born in Australia and now expanding globally, Active (powered by Business Fitness) builds tools that meet the unique compliance, reporting, workflow, and document management needs of accounting firms. With over two decades of trust in the industry and a cloud-native platform now adopted by four of the top six accounting firms and nearly half of the AFR Top 100, they are scaling fast.
This is a business that knows accountants because they come from accounting. Equal parts tech innovator and industry insider, the team has built products that genuinely improve how firms run — delivering efficiency, consistency, and growth. With the Active platform rolling out to firms large and small, there is huge momentum behind the brand, and every implementation matters.
It is the perfect time to join the team and help shape the future of accounting tech.
The Role
As an Implementation & Training Specialist, you will be the first impression of Active for boutique accounting firms (1 to 25 license clients). Your job is to make implementations seamless from scoping and training to handover.
The role is high-energy, client-facing, and all about helping firms get set up with confidence. You will run structured training sessions, answer queries that range from the straightforward to the unusual, and create a great client experience end-to-end. Beyond the delivery, you will also share insights back with Product and CX, making sure client feedback shapes how Active continues to evolve.
What you will be doing
- Conduct scoping calls to understand firm needs before onboarding
- Deliver engaging 90-minute training sessions that leave clients confident and capable
- Run smooth implementations and complete clean handovers to Account Management
- Respond quickly and clearly to client queries, finding practical solutions
- Build trust and relationships with clients through confident delivery and communication
- Share recurring issues and suggestions with Product and CX teams to improve the platform
- Contribute to process improvements and training resources during off-peak periods
What You Bring
- 3+ years in Public Practice accounting, ideally with strong tax and compliance background
- Prior experience with Business Fitness products preferred, or equivalent depth in compliance software
- Confidence leading client sessions online and the ability to hold attention and inspire trust
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving
- Ability to self-manage in a fast-paced, fully remote role
- Comfort juggling multiple clients and projects while keeping quality high

✈️ Annual team offsite with flights, accommodation, and activities covered
📚 Growth fund: Use it for courses, conferences, or further education
❤️ Wellness perks: A paid Wellness Day + health allowance
