Role Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to steer our technical delivery and elevate our products—spanning websites, small apps, CRMs, and media publishing platforms. As a key technical leader, you’ll direct architecture, guide junior team members, and ensure every solution remains simple, scalable, and client-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical leadership for each project: design, architecture, and execution of web platforms, integration tools, and publishing workflows.

• Client collaboration: translate needs into effective and maintainable solutions.

• Hands-on development: deliver high-quality code (PHP, JavaScript, APIs, CMS integrations, etc.) within a low-code context.

• DevOps competency: manage lightweight deployments, integration with hosting, backups, DNS, SSL, and domain management.

• Analytics & optimisation: embed tracking, reporting, and performance enhancements.

• Support & maintenance: contribute to tickets, updates, and retainers aligned with our promise of simplicity and ongoing service.

• Social Media Marketing experience

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of development experience—ideally in digital agencies or small consultancies.

• Proficiency in web stacks (PHP, JavaScript, or equivalent), CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify and the like)

• Familiarity with cloud hosting and deployment tools, email systems, domain setup.

• Strong communication and client-facing skills—able to explain tech clearly to non-tech stakeholders.

• Comfortable juggling multiple small projects and context-switching.

• Enthusiasm for crafting simple, elegant solutions (not over-engineered).

Bonus Points

• Experience integrating podcasts, video uploads, or analytics dashboards.

• Familiarity with off-the-shelf platform plugins (e.g., WooCommerce, Shopify apps).

• A passion for streamlined user journeys and maintaining clarity in complex systems.
