Are you a commercially-minded Magento Developer (Full Stack) who thrives on solving business-critical problems with clean, scalable code? Are you whisky-curious?
Serving more than 38,000 Members, we are the largest and most popular subscription-based whisky club in the world. We are looking for a talented individual to deliver the tech roadmap for our growing digital first business.
You’ll play a pivotal role in developing new features, improving site performance, look and feel, and preparing our Magento platform for a future SaaS transformation.
This is more than a code-only role — it’s a chance to own the tech roadmap alongside our Head of eCommerce and partner dev agency, with a path to grow into a Tech Lead role over time.
What you’ll be doing
- Be the guardian of all new feature roll out, building and improving full stack Magento features and functions to deliver the tech roadmap
- Enhancing the website UI/UX and performance
- Managing a tech pipeline in collaboration with our external development agency
- Delivering operational improvements that support our eComm team
- Maintaining site stability across front- and backend
- Supporting new market launches and platform strategy planning
- Contributing to the long-term SaaS replatforming roadmap
You’ll be great in this role if you…
- You have a proven ability to execute rapidly in a fast-paced ecommerce environment, solve complex technical problems and deliver (back and frontend) solutions that drive highly commercial results
- You bring hands-on experience working in-house with a Magento client or are ready to shift from agency into a client-side role
- Have at least 4 years full-time experience working in an eCommerce technical role, and are an expert in Magento 2 code structure and extension architecture
- You are a confident communicator and natural problem solver, and enjoy being close to the business impact of your work
- You have solid DevOps experience
- You bring relevant Adobe certifications (Adobe Certified Expert or Adobe Commerce Developer)
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field highly regarded
We offer
- An amazing opportunity to join this fast-growing Australian business and play a key role in shaping the future of the world’s Biggest Whisky Community
- Opportunity to future-proof your skills while helping architect the move from Magento legacy to modern SaaS, with a trajectory to step into a leadership Tech lead role over time
- Become part of a dynamic team that launches new, world-class whiskies weekly
- Great perks to help expand your whisky horizon
