Company Overview

The Muse-Recruitment is currently seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst for one of our Australian-based clients. This is a remote position designed for early-career finance professionals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

Role Overview

As an Entry-Level Financial Analyst, you will support the finance team with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tasks. You will assist in gathering and analyzing data to help stakeholders make informed decisions. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for numbers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
• Perform variance analysis and assist in identifying cost trends
• Maintain and update internal spreadsheets and financial models
• Assist in compiling data for month-end and quarter-end reporting
• Work collaboratively with senior analysts and finance managers
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across systems and reports

Must-Have Qualifications

• A degree (or final-year student) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with formulas and data sets
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Full working rights in Australia

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or work experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical role
• Familiarity with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP)
• Exposure to data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Knowledge of basic financial statements and performance metrics
