About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager (AM) with a technology or energy industry background to join our team. As an AM, you will play a vital role in revenue generation by ensuring the customer’s engagement is effective and supported, driving high customer satisfaction, which in turn will drive referrals and further growth. This role is perfect for someone eager to make an impact and grow their career in the renewable energy space.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts, developing strong multi-level relationships.
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities aligned with client goals and our product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Support, Marketing) to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Own the renewal process, ensuring retention targets are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and product capabilities to position value effectively.
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks to the account health and satisfaction.
  • Assist in managing escalated support or deployment issues to minimise customer impact.
  • Track and report on account performance, pipeline, and revenue forecasts using CRM tools.

Key qualifications and skills

  • 3+ years in account management, customer success or related sales roles.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue within existing customer accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on customer outcomes.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales/CS tools.

Desirable skills

  • A university degree or relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field
  • Experience working in a SaaS, cloud, or B2B technology environment
  • Previous experience or exposure to the Australian energy industry

Ways of working?

We embrace modern ways of working with extensive use of collaboration tools. We work remote-first and, depending on your location, you may also have an office to work from if that suits you. As long as the work gets done, we’re flexible. Local and interstate travel will be required for customer or internal meetings and events.
